Siouxzy is the Research Centre Manager. She has a Master's in Public Health and a Graduate Diploma in Critical Care nursing. Siouxzy has extensive experience in intensive care research and trial project management, including previously working as the Project Manager for the ENTERIC study, a multicentre randomised trial of early nasojejunal feeding in critically ill patients. She has also coordinated a large international nutrition survey in conjunction with the Critical Care Nutrition group in Canada. Siouxzy was also an Associate Investigator and Project Coordinator for the ASAP Study, an audit of severe acute pancreatitis feeding practices in the critically ill patient. She has an ongoing interest in improving the outcomes of critically ill patients through research.

Lynne is the ANZIC-RC Research Manager. She is an Associate Investigator for the POLAR-RCT (Prophylactic hypOthermia trial to Lessen trAumatic bRain injury Randomised Control Trial) Study and the Blood Program. She was the Project Manager for the DECRA (DECompressive CRAniectiomy) Trial. Lynne has extensive research experience in both basic science and clinical research. Her previous roles include the Clinical Research Manager (Intensive Care) at The Alfred Hospital, Lecturer in Biochemistry at Swinburne University of Technology and Research and Development Officer (Haematology/Blood Bank) at The Alfred.

Amanda is the ANZIC-RC Administration Manager. With diverse experience both in Australia and in the USA, Amanda has worked in the private, community, local government, health and education sectors, including roles in administration, counselling and dispute resolution. Her qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Counselling.

Alistair is an Associate Professor in the ANZIC-RC, School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University, and a consultant intensivist in The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. Following completion of a PhD at University College Dublin, Alistair commenced with the ANZIC-RC in 2007 and has worked on a number of its large multi-centre randomised controlled trials. He is currently one of the Chief Investigators on the EPO-TBI (Erythropoietin in Traumatic Brain Injury) Study and is actively involved with the POLAR-RCT (Prophylactic hypOthermia trail to Lessen trAumatic bRain injury Randomised Control Trial) Study and the PHARLAP Study. His areas of interest include traumatic brain injury (TBI), acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and mechanical ventilation. Alistair has completed over 10 years of training in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine. He was awarded the Fellowship of the College of Anaesthetists, Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (FCARCSI) in 2002, and the Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine Australia and New Zealand (FCICM) in 2010. Alistair is also a Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative (VNI) Early Career Practitioner Fellow.

Michael joined the ANZIC-RC as a statistician in early 2007. He has an extensive background in biostatistics, having worked as the consulting statistician to The Alfred Hospital for over a decade. Michael has an honours degree, a Masters degree and a PhD in statistics.

In 2011, Carol joined the ANZIC-RC team as Senior Research Fellow and she is currently a NHMRC post-doctoral ECR Fellow (2012-16). Carol completed her PhD investigating recruitment manouevres and open ventilation strategies for patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). She is a senior physiotherapist in intensive care at The Alfred with twenty years clinical experience and previously Carol completed a Masters by Research and a Postgraduate Diploma in Physiotherapy. She was awarded Fellowship of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (FACP) in 2009 and is a past national chair of Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Australia (Australian Physiotherapy Association). Carol is lead investigator on the TEAM study and an investigator on the PHARLAP trial. Her areas of interest include ARDS, mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, ICU acquired weakness, early rehabilitation and long-term outcomes of ICU survivors.

Dashiell joined the ANZIC-RC team in 2012 as Senior Research Fellow. He is an Intensive Care Registrar, a member of the College of Intensive Care Medicine and the Royal Australian College of Physicians, and was shortlisted in the 2007 Young Voices in Research for Health, Global Forum for Health Research competition. He is actively involved in the TRANFUSE-RCT (sTandaRd issue trANfusion versuS Fresher red blood cell Use in intenSive carE - Randomised Controlled Trial) study as well as a clinical advisor on POLAR (Prophylactic hypothermia trial to Lessen traumatic bRain injury). In addition to extensive clinical experience, he previously undertook a research fellowship with The George Institute for Global Health, China, working with the Critical Care and Trauma and Neurological and Mental Health Divisions. His research interests include neurocritical care, transfusion medicine, sepsis, and fluid resuscitation.

Emma graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2004 and completed a Masters of Public Health in 2010. Emma has worked as a clinical Dietitian at The Alfred Hospital since 2005 and is currently the Senior Dietitian leading Intensive Care at The Alfred. In 2008 Emma joined the ANZIC-RC as the AuSPEN / ANZIC-RC ICU Nutrition Project Manager where she is responsible for the management and development of critical care nutrition research programs. Emma is leading POLAR BEAR (a sub study of the POLAR RCT) investigating the metabolic effects of hypothermia in TBI. Other research projects include supplemental parenteral nutrition and nutrition therapy in patients on Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation. In 2011 Emma received The Peter Mitchell Churchill Fellowship to study methods for determining the nutritional needs of critically ill patients where she will travel to 5 countries in mid-2012 to learn from the world's experts about Indirect Calorimetry and nutrition assessment.

Belinda is an ANZIC-RC Research Fellow and Project Manager. She is currently the Project Manager for the ARISE-RCT Study and the SPICE Observational Study, and is the unblinded monitor for the EPO-TBI Study. Previously she was the Project Manager for the STATINS study, as well as the Project Manager for the INFINITE Registry, a register of Influenza A and pandemic H1N109 cases in intensive care units (ICUs) for Australia and New Zealand. Belinda has a background in critical care nursing and has worked as a research co-ordinator in ICU for over 10 years. She is currently undertaking a Master's degree in Public Health.

Lisa has a background in intensive care physiotherapy, and previously worked as an intensive care research coordinator at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. More recently she worked at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre at the University of Sydney conducting systematic reviews and economic evaluations in addition to teaching epidemiology and biostatistics to Master in Public Health (MPH) students. Lisa has an MPH majoring in epidemiology and biostatistics and a Graduate Diploma in Biostatistics. She recently commenced a PhD in the economic analysis of resuscitation in sepsis.

Lorraine joined the ANZIC-RC team in February 2009 as the EPO-TBI (Erythropoietin in Traumatic Brain Injury) Study Project Manager. She is also the Safety Officer for the ARISE Study. Prior to this appointment Lorraine worked at The George Institute for International Health as a Clinical Research Associate. Her previous roles include Research and Ethics Manager, Ethics Submission Coordinator for a cancer research group, and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Research Coordinator at the highly productive Western Health Intensive Care Unit. Lorraine's background is in clinical ICU nursing. She has a strong interest in bioethics and completed a Master in Bioethics degree in 2000.

Tony joined the ANZIC-RC team in November 2010 as the POLAR-RCT (Prophylactic hypOthermia trial to Lessen trAumatic bRain injury Randomised Control Trial) Project Manager. He is a qualified Paramedic (Monash) and Critical Care Nurse, and also holds a BEd (Latrobe). Tony has worked in the critical care environment for over 20 years and has spent most of his career as a Clinical Educator in The Alfred Intensive Care Department. He has also held the role of Nurse Unit Manager at Western Health Intensive Care Unit.

Prior to this appointment, Vic was employed as an Intensive Care Unit Research Coordinator at The Alfred Hospital and has a clinical background in Critical Care Nursing. She is currently undertaking a Master's degree in Public Health.
