The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre

Positions Vacant

In October 2005, $1.29 million dollars in funding was received in the form of an NHMRC Enabling Grant to establish a national centre for intensive care research. As a result, the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre (ANZIC-RC) was established at Monash University’s Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, based in Melbourne, Australia.

The ANZIC-RC has evolved out of the highly productive collaborative activities of the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society Clinical Trials Group (ANZICS-CTG). The aims of the ANZIC-RC will be to support and foster research in intensive care, and to establish an intensive care clinical research training centre for Australia and New Zealand. The ANZIC-RC will provide an academic hub for the ANZICS-CTG, but will also be available to all intensivists, including those who are not members of the CTG.

The ANZIC-RC is available to provide advice and support for the design, conduct and analysis of research projects and will also provide opportunities for future Fellowships and/or sabbaticals.
