Dr Ian Jenkins

Dr Jenkins is the current President of ANZICS and the Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Fremantle Hospital in Western Australia.  In addition to his presidential duties at ANZICS, Dr Jenkins has been an ANZICS board member for five years, on the ANZICS Database Management Committee, and is a trustee of the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation.  Dr Jenkins has also been a member of the Medical Quality Committee and Medical Advisory Committee at St John of God Hospital (Murdoch), the Interhospital Liaison Committee at the Australian Medical Association and was, until 2001, Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee at Fremantle Hospital.   

His subspecialty interests include metabolic derangements of the critically ill, information technology in ICU and performance assessment in the ICU.
